Celebrate the local Asparagus Harvest with a farm tour & long lunch.
Guests will enjoy a tour of the farm before the lunch, having the opportunity to see how asparagus grows, how to pick asparagus and see how asparagus farmers work with grading machines and cool-rooms full of asparagus. The Marshall’s have been farming in Torbay since 1971 and pioneered growing asparagus in the area 39 years ago.
The Asparagus Feast cooked by Xavier Poupel of Terroir and Tableincludes Crème Cappucino of Asparagus Truffle Essence, Steamed Asparagus - served with 3 sauces: Ravigote, Hollandaise and Vinaigrette, wood-fire warmed Cheese and grilled Asparagus, Croquant of Asparagus & Prosciutto served with Tarragon Emulsion, (Vegetarian version of Croquant prepared without prosciutto ) , Asparagus Risotto, Green Tomato Carpacchio with Ringwould Fetta and Fresh Basil, Salmon Rillettes, Medley of Salad Greens and fresh baked bread finishing with Tarte aux Citron (Lemon Tarte) served with Seasonal Berry’s.
