New Ventures for 2007

Saturday, 01 December 2007

Plans have been submitted for building approval for the Yilgarnia Cellar Sales and Wildflower Centre. Hopefully we will be open to the public by Easter 2008.

Monday, 02 October 2006

With virtually very little summer in the lead up to 2006 vintage and having rain throughout February - March, the 2006 grape harvest was late and frustrating. The whites came off in late March producing good fruit but very little of it. The reds stayed on until late April before they were ready for harvest. In fact we decided not to take off the Shiraz. The fruit looked great but lacked flavour and was not good enough for a premium wine. We were very anxious to have the 2006 Chardonnay in the bottle as we had sold out the 2005 Chardonnay by early autumn.
